Introducing Brian Tooley Racing's new LS3 Stage 5 camshaft. Developed in-house using proprietary BTR lobes profiles, the Stage 5 V2 cam is the latest offering in the LS3 line up which has culminated from extensive in-house Spintron testing, coupled with thorough vetting on a Superflow Engine Dynamometer.
This camshaft is not for the weak at heart. Intended for use as a MAX EFFORT NA style cam in combination with ported cylinder heads and an intake manifold such as the Trinity series intake. If you're wanting brutal mid range and top end power, the Stage 5 will shine in that department. Power figures north of 600hp have been made on the engine dyno in stock bottom end applications when used in conjunction with BTR valve train components and a short runner intake manifold. A 3200+rpm converter is necessary for automatic applications.
Our kit options take the guesswork out and include:
- Camshaft only: BTR LS3 Stage 5 camshaft by itself.
- Steel Retainer Spring Kit with Pushrods: BTR LS3 Stage 5 cam plus BTR Platinum .660" Dual Spring kit with Steel Retainers, Valve Seals, and 7.400" Chromoly Pushrods, 5/16" x .080" wall.
- Titanium Retainer Spring Kit with Pushrods: Includes the above, but with an upgrade from Steel to Titanium Retainers.
- Gasket kit: Includes Timing cover gasket, water pump gaskets, front crankshaft seal and new damper bolt.
Please Note:
- Not compatible with DOD/AFM lifters.
- VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit.
- If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3-bolt conversion kit will be required.
