Developed and ground in-house using state of the art BTR designed lobes, the new LS1 Stage 3 V2 cam is the latest offering in the LS1/LS2 line up. This camshaft has an aggressive idle, and works well in the mid to upper rpm range with 18% horsepower gains at peak over the OEM LS2 camshaft. This camshaft will not require any flycutting of pistons with OEM combustion chamber size. If you mill your heads, it is always advised to check piston-to-valve clearance.
An aftermarket stall is necessary to help unlock this camshaft's full potential.
These new BTR lobe designs were Spintron and Engine Dyno tested to achieve the highest overall power curve while also maintaining strict valvetrain stability and durability standards.
Our kit options take the guesswork out and include:
- Camshaft only: BTR Stage 3 NA Camshaft by itself.
- Spring Kit with Steel Retainers and Pushrods: BTR Stage 3 NA cam plus BTR Platinum .660" Dual Spring kit with Steel Retainers, Valve Seals, and 5/16" Chromoly Pushrods, 7.400" long with .080" wall.
- Spring Kit with Titanium Retainers and Pushrods: Includes the above, but with an upgrade from Steel to Titanium Retainers.
- Gasket kit: Includes Timing cover gasket, water pump gaskets, front crankshaft seal and new damper bolt.
Note:
- VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit.
- If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3-bolt conversion kit will be required.
- DOD/AFM Engines will require a conversion to conventional lifters.
