Fits 1997-2013 LS Based Engines - Ideal for Cathedral Port 5.7L/6.0L
Specs: 217/23x .615"/.636" 113 LSA, 3 Bolt Pattern
The all new BTR LS1 Stage 1 V2 camshaft makes more power and torque everywhere in the curve compared to the OEM factory camshaft. This camshaft provides a mild idle along with great driveability for daily driving yet makes significantly more midrange and top end power with an almost 15% horsepower gain at peak over the factory LS2 camshaft. These camshafts are also a great choice for LQ4 and LQ9 6.0L truck engines when swapped into cars. This camshaft can be run with the stock torque converter in LS1 and LS2 applications with proper tuning, however a 2800+rpm stall will help unlock this camshaft's full potential.
These new BTR lobe designs were Spintron and Engine Dyno tested to achieve the highest overall power curve while also maintaining strict valvetrain stability and durability standards.
Our kit options take the guesswork out and include:
- Camshaft only: BTR Stage 1 LS1 cam by itself.
- Spring Kit with Steel Retainers and Pushrods: BTR Stage 1 LS1 cam plus BTR Platinum .660" Dual Spring kit with Steel Retainers, Valve Seals, and 7.400" Chromoly Pushrods, 5/16" x .080" wall.
- Spring Kit with Titanium Retainers and Pushrods: Includes the above, but with an upgrade from Steel to Titanium Retainers.
- Gasket kit: Includes Timing cover gasket, water pump gaskets, front crankshaft seal and new damper bolt.
Note:
- DOD/AFM equipped engines will require a conversion to conventional lifters.
- VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit.
- If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3-bolt conversion kit will be required.
