Texas Speed's 4.8L/5.3L Stage 4 Turbo Camshaft is specifically designed for smaller cubic inch motors such as the 4.8/5.3 when using single or twin-turbos. This camshaft will make strong power past 7,000rpm in these smaller engines, and will require a 3500+rpm converter for best performance and to get the turbo(s) spooled quickly. This camshaft will have a strong lope at idle in 5.3L and smaller engines.
Our kit options eliminate the guesswork and include:
- Camshaft Only: Texas Speed 4.8/5.3 Turbo Stage 4 Camshaft by itself.
- Camshaft, Spring Kit with Titanium Retainers and Pushrods: Includes the TSP 4.8/5.3 Turbo Stage 4 Camshaft, Dual .660" Polished PAC Springs, Titanium Retainers, Valve Seals with Integrated Spring Seat, and 7.400" long 5/16" diameter Chromoly Pushrods.
- Gasket Kit Option: Includes Timing Cover Gasket, Water Pump Gaskets, Damper Seal, and Crankshaft Damper Bolt.
Please note:
- DOD/AFM equipped engines will require a DOD/AFM delete.
- VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit.
- If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3-bolt conversion kit will be required.
