The BFD was designed for one thing… 10/10 CHOP for LS engines! It just so happens to make a lot of power too!
The “BFD” cam is engineered to give your naturally aspirated LS the MOST SAVAGE CHOP humanly possible while delivering big power throughout the curve. Designed to spec with Hoonigan’s Chop King - Zac Mertens, the BFD is the nastiest sounding cam you can stuff into your LS3. This Cam is specifically made for 6.0L and 6.2L LS engines with rectangle port heads, so adequate PTV clearance has been built in when used with stock heads. A 3600+rpm stall is recommended for automatics.
Our kit options eliminate the guesswork and include:
- Camshaft Only: Texas Speed Chop Monster LS3 Camshaft by itself.
- Camshaft, Spring Kit with Titanium Retainers and Pushrods: Includes the TSP Chop Monster LS3 Cam, Dual .660" Polished PAC Springs, Titanium Retainers, Valve Seals with Integrated Spring Seat, and 7.400" long 5/16" diameter Chromoly Pushrods.
- Gasket Kit Option: Includes Timing Cover Gasket, Water Pump Gaskets, Damper Seal, and Crankshaft Damper Bolt.
Please note:
- DOD/AFM equipped engines will require a DOD/AFM delete.
- VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit.
- If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3-bolt conversion kit will be required.
